Birthday Wishes!

Hello Bloggers!
It is Saturday and I have not done much today, went to my daughter's  soccer game, they are doing great this session, so far it is 3 wins and we had a tie today. So, the girls are in 1st place!! Goooooo Vipers!!
On to the card....... today's card is for my sister in law. She has a birthday on Valentines day so I always try to give her a card with hearts on it. This adorable image is a Mo Manning digital image that I got free, yes free from Paper planet.  This is such an adorable image but, then again I think all of Mo Mannings images are fantastic! I CASED the copic coloring  from Dawn Burnworth, she is super talented! I had the hardest time  cutting this out. What I did was trace around one of my nesties and then used my scissors.  If any of you have any better way please let me know. I could use a tip or two!  Let me know what you think.
Thanks for stopping by!

Another tea Party!!!

Hello Blogger!
It is Thursday and I have not posted in awhile, I think I have the winter BLAHS!!!  It is very cold here in Michigan, I so looking forward to spring and some warm sunshine!

On Tuesday it was Teapot Tuesday and we were heading to England to help Rapunzel with her salon.  Check it out here! The tea parties always make me smile. Here is the Valentine that I made for Rapunzel at her castle.  This is made with a High hopes image and colored with copics. I had something total different in mind when I started this card and it just was not working for me,  I had to put the card down for the night and pick the image back up the next day and this is what I came up with.  Let me know what you think. Thanks for stopping by.

Young love.

Hello bloggers!

Hope you are enjoying your weekend! I am! Took a stamp class on Friday with my friend Emma,  we made some beautiful cards. I also had some stamp time. So that always helps. The weekend is not gong to end today, I have one more day left! Yahooooo!!!!
On to the card, remember when you were first in love, how exciting it was.  The first kiss, the first few dates and remember when you couldn't wait until that special person  called you. This is what this card reminds me of.
Being in love and stealing some time away from everyone just to be alone! Yes, I am still in love, it is just different now.  Not as exciting! Nothing like that first kiss!

For this card I  used Close to my heart stamp set called child hood portrait. Embossed it in white embossing powder and added the ribbon.   This is a easy  peasy card.  Thank for stopping by.

Love treats.

Hello Bloggers!
This is a cute little gift bag and small 3x3 card to go with it. It was the challenge on Friday over at SCS. The flower is a technique  that I learned  from watching a video by Dawn McVey.  The flowers are so cute but,  you have to cut up a book to get the shapes for the flowers. I am a BIG book fan, I love to read them , smell them and feel them! I know, I know! its a little weird........

smell them. I ran out to get a book at the salvation army and I grabbed the strangest looking book I could find . I think it was published in the 50's.  Well, when it came down to ripping out a page and punching it with a punch I had the hardest time.  I had to talk myself into it. LOL!!! The next time it should be much easier for me to make these cute little flowers.
Thanks for stopping by today, I have more on Sunday.
Enjoy your weekend!

Good -bye card!

Hello Bloggers!

This is a card I put together for a girl at work who is leaving to starting another chapter in her life.  I had to make a bigger card so all the girls could sign it. I also copied the layout and design from my dear friend Sharon, she is an incredible stamper and I just love all her cards. I used double sided paper and added the extra butterflies.  I believe the fold is called a trifold  or gate fold.  The card size is 5 1/2 X 11 and it is scored at 3 3/4 and again at 1 3/4. Tell me what you think. Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Sunday!

It is Sunday night and once again the weekend went by way to fast! We had a jam packed weekend, driving kids here and there, soccer game, archery, busy, busy, busy!  I didn't get everything done this weekend that I wanted too but, I did get two cards made.
My brother and his daughter got me a Cricut expressions, I had a few free minutes this afternoon and this is the card I made. There is no stamping on this card it was all made with the Cricut. They got me the pink breast cancer  Cricut. It has three cartridges and  is all trimmed in pink and when you turn it on the lights are even pink! Very cute!
Thanks for stopping by and I will have more cards this week!
Hope you had a great weekend!

Another challange

Here is my High hopes ant, His name is Willard the weather ant. Is he just the cutest?  I made this card for the High Hopes challenge 57.  This week it is a sketch challenge and it is a great sketch!
The ribbon bow is something new I learned over the Christmas break,  from Carolina.  She has a fantastic blog where you learn a ton and great tutorial videos too. I used this bow on some gift card holders and you can use any size ribbon.
Head on over to her blog and check it out.

Happy New Year!

Hello and Happy New Year! I can not believe that it is now 2010...........time goes by fast. I had a wonderful Christmas with my siblings and family. It was a whirl wind of activities, I finely got to rest on the 31st! I could use a vacation from my vacation, but that is not going to happen, it is back to work and my busy life on Monday. Boo Hoo! I hope you all had a great holiday and hope Santa brought you lots of Stamps!!! LOL!

I unfortunately  had to make a  sympathy card for the start of 2010. When I saw this card on SCS  I thought it was such a clever idea,  making the circle out of the vine in the Thoughts and prayers stamp set. I used one of my favorite colors and I miss it so much, Kiwi kiss.
along with rose red.  The butterflies hide where the vine meets up and it looks like it is a continuous circle. Thanks for stopping by and I wish you all a very happy, healthy and prosperous new year!
